Since our founding, Mia Salon Studios has promised to take better care of stylists, so stylists can take better care of clients. Therefore, we have taken very extensive, very expensive measures to ensure that all our Mia Professionals are working in the cleanest environment possible.
Mia Salon Studios makes a daily commitment to our stylists and clients: Our cleaning, sanitation and air-purification systems are greater than hospital standards. This is not an exaggeration. Read on for details.
Mia Professionals spend the majority of their waking hours in the salon. As such, we’ve taken serious steps to increase the the quality of the air we breathe. Patented cold-fusion ion air filtration units kill an astonishing amount of viruses, mold and bacteria, and reduce all particles in the air. These heavy-duty germ slaying machines are in the ducts, so the air is purified before it enters the salon.
We have installed many types of filtration systems to clean the air our stylists and clients breathe inside Mia Salon Studios.
HVAC box filters trap allergies, small particles, dander and pollutants
HEPA filters trap airborne viruses, bacteria, spores and mold
Carbon filters provide odor filtration
Titanium Oxide Coated (TiO2) filters work in cooperation with UV light rays to destroy volatile organic compounds and chemicals (VOCs) - and then converts 95% of pollutants in the air to harmless water vapor, leaving your salon studio smelling fresh and clean
Which filter is best? All of them! We’ve installed fresh box filters in our HVAC rooftop units and HEPA, Carbon, UV and TiO2 filters as well.
Ozone
There are so many technologies that destroy bacteria and disease causing pathogens. Ozone gas is one that sanitizes the air, and therefore hard-to-reach areas of the salon. Ozone destroys pathogens by literally tearing them apart through oxidation, then immediately reverting it into oxygen
We installed Industrial Ozone Generators that will run at midnight for 2 hours, then shut off. These units can only be run in unoccupied spaces.

Bacteria, viruses, mold and pathogens exist on all surfaces. Unless the surface is coated with an anti-microbial coating. Mia Salon Studios has proudly come together with Sterile-Environments to have this anti-microbial coating applied to all surfaces at every location! This coating system works 24/7 to protect our facility from odor, mold, MRSA, flu, viruses, e. coli and over 90 more pathogens. It has been proven to constantly reduce germs by greater than 99% on treated surfaces even after routine washing.
What else?
We have also installed commercial touchless hand sanitizer dispensers in the lobby. The studio owners’ break room and bathrooms and lobbies have readily available bleach-based sanitizer sprays for use. Lysol disinfectant spray cans are also readily available for all studio owners. We have a phone sanitizer available in the break room free of charge for our studio owners.
